'Thriller Pearl' thrives in bright light and benefits from several hours of direct sunlight each day. Plenty of sun helps maintain its compact shape and enhances the beautiful pink and lavender tones along the leaf edges.
Water thoroughly only after the soil has dried out completely. As with most echeverias, overwatering is the most common cause of problems, so a fast-draining soil and infrequent watering will keep this succulent healthy. Be sure to only water the soil and keep water off of leaves and center of the plant.
The beautiful pastel colors of 'Thriller Pearl' become more vibrant when the plant experiences "stress coloring." Factors such as bright sunlight, cool nighttime temperatures, and slight drought encourage the plant to produce protective pigments called anthocyanins, creating the stunning pink, purple, and lavender hues that succulent collectors love.
